Happy Thanksgiving!!!

To all my wonderful Canadian friends and Family...Happy Thanksgiving!!!
This is a time of year for such wonderment when we gather to say thanks for all that is given us. I just want to take sometime and thank all of my friends, pen pals and family for the wonderful things that they have done, and given and spent time with me.
I want to thank my children for loving me for who I am. For always loving me back, no matter what decisions I make for the family.
I want to thank my husband for putting up with me for all these years. I'm not easy to live with...that is for sure.
Although most of my friends are over the internet...or on paper from an envelope. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for such people. They fill my life with purpose and heartfelt satisfaction.
I also want to thank the art world...for letting me in.
And for God...who loves me as he created me.
So...Happy Thanksgiving everyone...May you find happiness at your table tonight!!!

A New Era

Today, early this morning...I felt very creative. I was inspired by a vintage soap ad.
I used it in this ATC. I do hope you like it.

DOTEES ON A STRING!!

So...my husband hung a little string for me today. Its to hang my dotees from. He took some string which I nicely aged and primmed, and he wrapped it between two screws on the ends of my shelving unit he made for me. He the handed me some nicely aged and rusty wire, and some needle nose plyers and wire cutters and away I went. I took the wire and bent it into s shaped hooks...then cut them off, one by one. Then I just took the Dotee and hung it on the string. A simple way to display my treasures that my friends have sent me.

What are your ideas of displaying your Dotees???

New Friend...A New ATC

I have been penpaling for about a year now. So recently...I have joined a few sites to increase my number of pen pals from a few to many. I want to learn as much as possible about the world. I have pen pals in all around the globe.
Today I made a new one today...her name is Jeanne. I sent her a letter...and because we have in common the making of ATC's I was inspired to create something for her. As a gift..as we remember our lives and tell each other about ourselves.

This is it. It is called Time-Fly's

Tell me what you think...I think she is going to like it.

A Few New Items...

I have made birthday pressies for two friends of mine in the Yahoo Group...
Primraggchatters...
Here they are...The first is for Shagsy and the second is for Jude.
If you like them ...leave me a comment or two. Thanks for stopping by.

MAKE A DOTEE DOLL KIT SWAP

Swap-bot swap: MAKE A DOTEE DOLL KIT SWAP
I swap with Swap-bot!

I am a swapper at swapbot. I have tried expensive swaps...and cheap swaps. I dont have the budget to do an expensive swap...so i decided to host a really fun , inexpensive swap. MAKE A DOTEE DOLL KIT SWAP.

HERE ARE THE RULES...

For this swap you will put together in a baggie a kit to make 1 full dotee. Now the idea is to make a nice Dotee, and somewhat embellished. Put in face of choice. Either the fabric, wood, or ceramic. One 6x6 piece of cotton fabric for the body of the dotee. Beads or Ribbon for the Hanger. Beads for the tail. Any other embellishments to go on the Dotee itsself.. such as, more beads, buttons, or sequins or the alike. Remember to give your swap partner enough to make an embellished Dotee. PLEASE DONT SEND THE STUFFING. THIS IS SOMETHING THE RECEIVER SHOULD ALREADY HAVE. THANKS

Now the nitty gritty...

1 partner, 1 dotee kit, please include swap name and your name with a card or note.

Since this is a perfectly lightweighted item, this is international.

Newbies always welcome at least with 5 swaps completed please.

This swap is open only to those with a rating of 4.8 and above. If not..you will be banned. Sorry.

If you dont intend to send or rate, dont join.

I will check everyones profiles. If you dont add up...Im not going to let you join in the swap. Im fair...so if there is a reason you have a bad score and you want to join let me know...

This should be an easy enough swap..so please send. Dont rate until you give your partner plenty of time to let the mail work. its international so sometimes it might be two weeks or so . ask your swap partner before giving a bad rating.

I hate being flaked on...so i will angel if you dont receive.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTAKE IN THIS SWAP...PLEASE GO HERE....
